Advanced document options and rules
These settings control how the document can be submitted and what additional checks are applied after upload. Changes made here do not take effect until the collection is saved.
Document checks and processing
Bynn supports three separate document-level processing features:
- AI Agent Validation checks whether the document meets configured business rules.
- Document Fraud Detection checks for signs of tampering, forgery, or manipulation.
- Document Data Extraction (OCR) reads values from the document and saves them as workflow variables.
These features can be enabled independently per document. They solve different problems and should not be treated as the same type of check.
Bynn Document Fraud Detection
The Bynn Document Fraud Detection option enables fraud analysis for the selected document. When enabled, the uploaded document is analyzed using Bynn’s Document Fraud Detection capabilities, which combine AI-based analysis, metadata examination, and other forensic checks to identify signs of tampering, forgery, or manipulation. Read more about it here: Document Fraud Detection Tool
This setting applies to the document where it is enabled. It does not need to be enabled for all documents in the collection.
File Type Restrictions
These control what the uploader is allowed to submit.
If multiple file type options are enabled, the uploader can use any of the allowed methods.
Bynn Document Fraud Detection
This adds fraud analysis after the document is uploaded.
Request new document on fraud detection
This changes what happens if fraud is detected. Instead of continuing silently, the uploader is asked to upload a new file.
Save behavior
Changes made to document options and rules only take effect after clicking Save Collection.
If a setting is changed but the collection is not saved, the previous saved configuration remains in use.
